Episode 44: When Mountain Dew Won’t Respond
March 23rd, 2012
A week chock-full of failed theme music suggestions, practice with horns, budgeting for a full time live-in puppeteer, and the dark side of being a woman told from the point of view of men who could never make it as women. It took two tries, but this one might just take. It's Episode 44!

Episode 43: Doin’ Press & Gettin’ Hitched

Episode 42: Some jokes would be nice.
February 26th, 2012
After a long winter's nap and infrequent episodes, the podcast is back regularly and just as awkward as ever. Some big changes in band-land occurred while you were out as did Billy's capacity to handle emotional stories without partially weeping. Cue the Du, because it's a new day rising. It's an informational-laden Episode 42, heavy on the content, lax on the funny. See you next week!

Episode 41: Bigger Than Tom Hardy’s
January 15th, 2012
Tyler and Eamonn make their triumphant return to the podcast with a short cast before they head off to the Walkmen concert that wound up being ruined by a farting man and bro-skies running into everyone (not covered in the episode). What is covered is hype for the band's upcoming do-or-die gig at Lincoln Hall, Tom Hardy's nether regions, and the art of sifting through garbage. It's a quickie! It's Episode 41!
Music from the Bronson soundtrack.

Episode 40: Saint Ken
January 1st, 2012
Listener note: There's some table pounding. Sorry.
Starting the new year off with...a long friggin' episode. Billy sits down with Ken, the guy who bought the microphones for the band after seeing them play at Schubas in Chicago; the guy who is loaning the band money to buy a van after the demise of their S.S. Killdozer; the guy who can list all of the Star Wars bounty hunters and their areas of expertise? Yep, that's Ken. Get to know the guy who has decided to invest in a band instead of something that might make him some actual money. Too much time in between episodes, but not anymore. It's 2012, and Episode 40!

Episode 37: Nightcall
October 30th, 2011
Consider it a prelude to the forthcoming full-band episode, Billy once again podcasts solo and from home while the rest of the city attempts to copulate in costume. A shorty, but a fiercy. It's a presidential-grade Episode 37.

NOTE
October 2nd, 2011
If you're here, you probably noticed we haven't been around for most of September. For the next few months and indefinite future, we'll be back with less-than-weekly podcasts. The truth is, there just isn't that much road reporting to do right now and laying recording updates on you every week just doesn't seem all that interesting. We'll be back, though, maybe even this week.

Episode 35: Showtime With No Place To Go
September 7th, 2011
Not incredibly sure when they're supposed to arrive at their show that evening, the band sits down to podcast at the rehearsal space with tales of Guts gone wrong, Brian The Manager's surprise birthday party, and the song Billy listened to 60 times in a row. Editor's note: a different mic was used due to the usual one being temporarily misplaced and that should account for the weirdness. It's a drink of an Episode 35.

Episode 34: Songs to Record to
August 31st, 2011
It's a thorough rundown on the recording process and a sampling of songs that have informed the recording of the album we keep talking about. Get ready for some delayed speech, non-sequiturs, and confused word usage. It's Episode 34.

Episode 33: Favorite Number
August 24th, 2011
Larry Bird's namesake episodes features Danny and Billy at the rehearsal spot after five hours of recording bells and melodica. Unless you care about the record, this probably isn't going to be your episode. New listener? Not the one, buddy. Two brothers talking about music that you haven't heard yet and recording techniques that make sense to no one, including them. The episode concludes with a live karaoke recording of Tyler and Billy singing a Beastie Boys classic that neither of them knew very well. The crowd was unimpressed. Welcome to 33.

Episode 32: Rock N Roll McDonalds
August 18th, 2011
Death and despair live from the Rock N Roll McDonalds in downtown Chicago, the boys (minus Daniel who's recovering from a late-night hospital run for kidney issues) congregate to run down just how shitty the past two weeks have been. But there's hope! Paul McCartney is still leaving voicemails, and maybe the crew can finally sync up to these Katy Perry times. It's a background noise-filled Episode 32!

Another No Episode Week.
August 10th, 2011
The van took its final journey after dropping its transmission as we were trying to leave the show Saturday. We used all of the money we were paid to pay off the last van fix and rent the U-Haul for the way back, and it just isn't that funny yet. Maybe next week. Right now, we're examining the underside of the couch for all the pennies we can find. Sorry. Good journey.

Episode 31: Pair of Brabands
August 3rd, 2011
A member of Some Kind of Cosmonaut, a Chicago improv troupe, and alleged band enthusiast, Eric Braband joins Eamonn and Billy for two chats, only one of them featuring a working recording device. Prepping for the 605 Summer Classic, the boys run down their weeks, band finances, and engage in some REAL AMERICAN IMPROV. It's fresh. It's tight. It's unable to fit in your pocket without bulging to high heaven. Give it up for Episode 31.
